We can provide solutions and support for these challenges, through our Individualized Family Service, Family Wellness Gatherings and Youth Programs; which take a lot of resources and hours of our staff and volunteers. Many of the families we serve have spent their life savings on treatments, medications and hospitalizations for their child and are barely making ends meet.
Amazing Grace Advocacy
A Family Resource for Youth with Brain Disorders
In 2018 Amazing Grace Advocacy helped over 750 children, teens, young adults and their families improve their lives while living with Brain Disorders. However, we have only scratched the surface, in knowing that 1 in 5 youth are affected by a Brain Disorder. We receive daily referrals for families that are desperately trying to keep their child from more suicide attempts, suspensions in school, keeping their home safe, finding the right doctor, therapist that is trained in child's diagnosis and daily survival.
In 2018 we were able to provide a Sliding Scale Discount and Pro-Bono services to many of our families, provide programming for our youth, keep Summer Camp fees at $100 and start our Family Wellness Gatherings; all as a result of our generous Sponsors and Donors listed below.
Our goals for 2019 is to double our family outreach to serve at least 1500 youth, opening our "Family Wellness Center" at One Life Church/Collective, increase our Summer Camp Program, host two disability friendly events: a Family Bingo Night and an 80's Dance/Costume Party. In addition we will continue our monthly "Family Wellness Gatherings" to provide support and connectivity for families.
